Biography
Esther Rhei, MD, FACS
Dr. Ester Rhei is a surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and an assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Rhei received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She then completed a general surgery residency at State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Rhei is board certified in surgery.
Her clinical and research interests include benign breast disease, breast cancer, and decision making in breast cancer surgery. She has received numerous teaching awards from Harvard Medical School and the Department of Surgery. Dr. Rhei has been named to Marquis Who's Who in the World, America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly, and Top Doctor in Boston Magazine since 2012.
