Located on the third floor of the Dana building, the Blum Pediatric Resource Room — with resources for parents, and activities and iPads for children and teens — serves parents and families of children receiving care at the Jimmy Fund Clinic. For information and questions, please call 617-632-3900.
The Hale Center at Children's Hospital
At Children's Hospital, inpatient pediatric patients and their family members can visit the Hale Family Center for Families. Services include:
- Accommodations: Patient Family Housing Program and ICU Sleep Spaces
- Call center: Facilitates communication between community-based physicians and Boston Children's physicians
- Activity space and library: Books on medical and developmental topics, as well as children's, teen and adult books, videos, and games
- Clothing closet: Offers donated supplies for patients and families with a clinical referral
- Computer/print/copy/fax/scan, video phone, and phone-charging station: Internet-accessible computers and phones for relaxation, work, and the creation of Care Pages
- Family partnerships: Family Advisory Council, Family-to-Family Program, and Teen Advisory Committee
- Lactation Support Program: Breastfeeding assessment, evaluation, education, and support
- Parking Program: Parking assistance for income-eligible inpatient families
- Pawprints Program: Visits from dogs, for a healthy, fun diversion from hospital routine
- Playground: Rents basketballs to patient families and provides directions to playgrounds within Boston Children's walls and surroundings
- Puerto Rico Program: Provides information and resources to patient families from Puerto Rico
